Greetings horror fiends! As much as I love the sound of my own voice, the Killer Horror Critic name is not a title, it’s a brand. As fans of the genre, we’re all critics, we all have unique voices and opinions, and no site would be complete without a variety of contributors from every spectrum of fandom ranging from hardcore horror vets to the casual jump scare junkies.
...I don’t want to be THE Killer Horror Critic. This site is for ALL of us fans, and I want YOU to join the Killer Horror Critic team and share your views.
I’m looking for all types of contributions. Reviews on film, comics, books, games. Opinion pieces such as franchise film rankings, what you think of new horror toys coming out, who would win in a fight, Jason or Freddy, ANYTHING. Know of a hidden gem no one else knows about that deserves some recognition, write about it! Or dig up an old classic and give a fresh take on it. If it relates to the horror genre and you want to write about it, I want it. I will always be open to new and interesting column ideas, so please, feel free to pitch anything that comes to mind, and I will update you all on any new ideas that I extract from the brains of my victims. A Killer Horror Critic from space has to eat after all.
A few notes on articles: For reviews, a good standard is at least 1000+ words for films, books and games, and about 600+ for anything else. As for other pieces, keep it as short or as long as you like, just use your better judgement. For example, if you’re going to say Jaws 4 is better than the original, you better have some damn good, DETAILED reasoning as to why.
That’s it. So, if you’re interested in contributing or have any other questions, don’t hesitate to email me at KillerHorrorCritic@gmail.com. Looking forward to reading what you all have to say, fellow Killer Horror Critics!
