A Family is Haunted by a Demon in 'Abyzou', Based on a Jewish Folk Tale!

Straight up, we need more horror films based around Jewish mythology...

...Luckily, Via Screendaily, we are getting exactly that, as Oliver Park, director behind the short horror flick Vicious, will be making his feature directorial debut with Abyzou, a horror film revolving around Jewish folklore from Millennium Media!

In Abyzou, written by Hank Hoffman from a story he co-wrote with Millennium co-president Jonathan Yunger.

"Based loosely on a Jewish folk tale, the film is about a family struggling with unresolved trauma who find themselves at the mercy of an ancient demon determined to destroy them."

Millennium plans to begin production in the final quarter of this year.

Jeffrey Greenstein, Les Weldon, Yunger and Yariv Lerner of Millennium Media are producing the film with Hoffman, and Millennium’s Sam Schulte co-producing. Millennium’s Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson and Tanner Mobley are executive producing.

Millennium Media is taking the film the Cannes virtual film market this week.
