(By Mark Gonzales) Perhaps you have seen the massive advertising campaign for CBS All Access's new horror series Tell Me A Story. The print ads show a frightening image of three scary pig faces staring at each other and the creepy invitation to… "Tell Me A Story." It's a strong campaign and one that worked on me. Ranking the un-watchability of the horror shorts in Netflix's new collection, "Don't Watch This"10/31/2018 (By Matt Konopka) Released in 1978, John Carpenter’s Halloween changed horror in America forever. The film spawned various sequels, remakes, requels, action figures, mugs with Michael Myers face on them, and so on. It also inspired countless copycats, such as Friday the 13th, which led to the slasher film craze. Sitting comfortably at the corner of this intersection is Netflix's The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina… (By Matt Konopka) It wasn’t too long ago that horror fans received the stunning news that our beloved Suspiria (1977) would be receiving the (inevitable) remake treatment. You can take our Prom Night and our When a Stranger Calls, but you may never take our Suspiria! But they did, and this past weekend saw the limited release of the update. Fans, including myself, have considered the original Suspiria to not only be a great horror film, but a masterpiece. So, did its modern sister live up to the pedigree?... |
