 It's never a comfortable feeling when a parent brings home a new lover... ...Via Deadline, Vertical Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to writer/director Braden R. Duemmler's debut feature, horror thriller Viscous! In Viscous: "A socially awkward teenager is blindsided when her mother introduces her to her new fiancée. At first, his charm, intelligence, and beauty seem too good to be true, and after a series of strange occurrences the teenage daughter realizes that this new member of their family is not exactly who he seems." The film stars Mena Suvari (American Beauty), Trey Tucker (The Space Between Us) and Ema Horvath. It was produced by Abel Vang, Stephen Stanley, and Kristina Esposito, and executive produced by Linus Hume and co-produced by Panda Lord. XYZ is selling the film at the Cannes virtual market. Vertical Entertainment expects to release Viscous in theaters and on VOD during December 2020. By Matt Konopka
