In news that should shock no one... ...KHC has learned that A24 has pulled the release of director David Lowery's (A Ghost Story) upcoming dark fantasy adventure film, The Green Knight. Originally slated for theatrical release on May 29th, the move comes as no surprise, considering that's just a few weeks away, and we're still right in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. In The Green Knight: "An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, THE GREEN KNIGHT tells the story of Sir Gawain, King Arthur's reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of his family and kingdom by facing the ultimate challenger." It's a shame, because the film looks and sounds utterly breathtaking, and we can't wait to get our eyes on it. At this time, there is no new release date. While we wait, relive the absolutely gorgeous trailer below. By Matt Konopka
