Andy is ready to play again...
...Via Syfy, Alex Vincent, who has long played Chucky's nemesis Andy Barclay, and Christine Elise McCarthy, who plays Andy's foster sister in Child's Play 2, have joined the cast of the upcoming series Chucky from creator Don Mancini, which continues the saga of the Child's Play franchise!
In Chucky, produced by UCP and executive produced by creator and showrunner Don Mancini, David Kirschner, Harley Peyton, Nick Antosca, and Alex Hedlund:
"The series begins when a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale and an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies -- and allies -- from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster."
Vincent and McCarthy join already cast Brad Dourif, reprising his role as the voice of Chucky, as well as Jennifer Tilly (Tiffany from the later films, introduced in Bride of Chucky), Fiona Dourif (Curse of Chucky), Devon Sawa (Final Destination), Zackary Arthur (Transparent), Teo Briones (Ratched), Bjorgvin Arnarson (PEN15) and Alyvia Alyn Lind (The Young and the Restless).
Franchise creator Don Mancini is set to direct the first episode.
Chucky comes to Syfy and USA Network this Fall.
