With the news that the Craven estate has started taking pitches for a new A Nightmare on Elm Street film, the rumor mill has begun to churn out numerous dream scenarios, one of which seems to have caught the eye of Freddy's very first victim, Amanda Wyss...
...As many of you know, Amanda played Tina in the 1984 original film, and is known not only for being the first to suffer the nightmare that is Freddy Krueger, but her death scene is iconic in the franchise. Which makes this next part interesting...
Recently, We Got this Covered reported that their "sources" were telling them that many original cast members from Wes Craven's 1984 film would be returning. That rumor has largely already been debunked, and let's be honest, if you have to mention how right you were about other rumors you posted, it probably means you're wrong a lot. But I digress. Right or wrong, the article got Amanda's attention, and it appears she'd be all for it!
Now, this is of course unlikely to happen. Barring some pretty heavy rewriting of the past, Tina is long dead in this universe and isn't coming back outside of a dream. Though Amanda does pose some interesting ideas, such as:
Still, count me in as someone who would love to see this happen. On the slight chance that it does, how would you like to see Tina brought back in a new A Nightmare on Elm Street film?
