The upcoming Gretel and Hansel returns us to the darkness of Grimm's Fairy Tales, and now an interactive storybook has been released for the film...
...The Twitter account for Gretel and Hansel released a link to an interactive storybook based on the film which shows the progression of the story up to a little bit after Gretel and Hansel first meet the witch, complete with music and imagery by artist TAZ, and it is simply incredible. See the tweet below and check out the interactive storybook here. Don't miss the film when it releases later this week!
Directed by Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat's Daughter) and written by Rob Hayes (Chewing Gum), in Gretel and Hansel:
"A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil."
The film stars Sophia Lillis (It), newcomer Sammy Leakey, Alice Krige (Carnival Row), Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) and Charles Babalola (Black Mirror).
Enter the woods with Gretel and Hansel when the film releases in theaters on January 31st through Orion Pictures.
