 If it was your fantasy to see an unrated cut of Fantasy Island, then your wish has been granted... ...Sony Pictures Home Entertainment announced earlier today that the horror adaptation of the classic show, Fantasy Island, will be releasing both the theatrical and unrated cuts of the film, with a digital release on April 14th, followed by a Blu-ray/DVD release on May 12th! Fantasy Island wasn't exactly a winner at the box office (you can read our review here), but a lot of times these movies are hurt by cuts that, frankly, take out the good stuff to allow more audiences to see the film, so it's always exciting when an unrated cut of a horror film is releasing. Additionally, the release will include deleted scenes plus director and cast commentary, which will be exclusively on the unrated version of the film. In Fantasy Island: "The enigmatic Mr. Roarke makes the secret dreams of his lucky guests come true at a luxurious but remote tropical resort. But when the fantasies turn into nightmares, the guests have to solve the island’s mystery in order to escape with their lives." The film stars Lucy Hale, Michael Peña, Maggie Q, Austin Stowell, Jimmy O. Yang, Portia Doubleday, Ryan Hansen and Michael Rooker. By Matt Konopka
