'Anaconda' is Slithering Again with New Reboot in Development!

Remember Anaconda from the late 90s? Well prepare for some bone-crushing news...

...Via THR, Sony's Columbia Pictures is developing a reboot of the film, with Evan Dougherty (Tomb Raider, Snow White and the Huntsman) writing the script! According to the site, the studio is looking to take a Meg-style approach to the "reimagining", meaning the studio wants to make it as big and as expensive as possible. And hey, we're never going to complain about big-budget creature features. At this time, there are no plot details. 

In the original 1997 Anaconda:

"A "National Geographic" film crew is taken hostage by an insane hunter, who forces them along on his quest to capture the world's largest - and deadliest - snake."

The film starred Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight, Owen Wilson, Eric Stoltz and many other great actors, and was overall considered an entertaining hit.
