Barbara Crampton Will Be Participating in a Live-Stream Tribute Reading of Stuart Gordon's 'From Beyond' in April!
We recently lost one of the greatest genre directors to have ever lived, Stuart Gordon, and fans will soon be able to share in his memory with a live script reading of one of his greatest works...
...Scripts Gone Wild has revealed through their Twitter that on April 15th, 2020, they will be hosting a FREE LIVE STREAM of a reading of Stuart Gordon's 1986 classic, From Beyond, with star Barbara Crampton participating, along with Castle Freak's Jonathan Fuller, Graham Skipper (Beyond the Gates), and more!
From Beyond is a beloved film amongst horror fans and those who loved Gordon and his work, and to be able to see Crampton, along with others who knew him well, honoring the man and his films with this tribute reading will be a true pleasure. Crampton, who has become horror royalty herself and is always so supportive of the community, starred in various Stuart Gordon films, including Re-Animator and Castle Freak, and is absolutely wonderful in From Beyond.
For those unfamiliar with the H.P. Lovecraft adaptation, in From Beyond:
"A group of scientists have developed the Resonator, a machine which allows whoever is within range to see beyond normal perceptible reality. But when the experiment succeeds, they are immediately attacked by terrible life forms."
The film also stars frequent Stuart Gordon collaborator Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator), as well as Ted Sorel and Ken Foree (Dawn of the Dead).
The reading will be streamed through Scripts Gone Wild's Facebook page. Make sure to follow Scripts Gone Wild and Barbara Crampton on Twitter for updates, and don't miss what is sure to be a wonderful tribute to a man who gave us so many memorable, incredible works of art. Thank you for everything, Stuart, and thank you to everyone involved for doing this.
