Kailey Marsh, creator of the Bloodlist, has been recruited by Brillstein Entertainment Partners, a move which should have horror fans excited...

...Variety is reporting that Marsh, who has run the Kelly Marsh Media banner for years, has not only joined Brillstein, but the entertainment company has major plans for Marsh's Bloodlist, which includes turning the annual list of popular horror screenplays into a production banner!

For those less familiar with the Bloodlist, the list is an initiative which began around ten years ago that collects the most popular horror scripts circulating in Hollywood and compiles them into one yearly list. Many of the scripts which have appeared on the Bloodlist have eventually been produced to varying degrees of success, including Maggie, The Voices, and the upcoming Bird Box.

Said Brillstein's David Mcllvain:
“Kailey’s entrepreneurial spirit has brought BloodList to life and turned it into an industry standard for finding new voices in dark genre...Kailey and her talented clients are a great addition to Brillstein as we continue to expand our genre business.”
In 2016, Marsh launched the Fresh Blood Initiative, a sister version of the Bloodlist which is open to scripts from writers who do not have formal representation. Needless to say, Marsh is a champion of horror, and it's exciting to think that she could soon have a Bloodlist banner producing new, ORIGINAL horror.

Kailey had this to say in regards to the deal:
“Brillstein is a phenomenal home for my clients and me. I’m a long-time horror fan, and the opportunity to build out the BloodList brand into a production entity alongside a storied company like Brillstein is a dream."
Marsh most recently helped produce the Hulu horror series Light as a Feather, which you can stream now.
