Here's something we didn't know we needed but now kind of really do... ...Via Bloody Disgusting, Fantastic Studio and director Ruggero Deodato have announced that they will be releasing a video game based on Cannibal Holocaust in honor of the films 40th anniversary! In the game: “'Cannibal' is an interactive horror graphic adventure made with Unity, with the direction and script of Ruggero Deodato, and the original drawings of Solo Macello, in which the player will take control of different characters, to reveal, little by little, the background that led them to a desperate expedition to the virgin jungles of Borneo. And of course, get to discover the end of the story, destined to shake from the foundations every certainty acquired during the game.” I'm not sure that anyone ever thought we needed a Cannibal Holocaust game, but now that we've received this news, we oddly can't wait? Ruggero Deodato’s originally began the "Cannibal Trilogy” with Jungle Holocaust (1977), followed by what has become one of the most infamous horror films ever made, Cannibal Holocaust (1980) and then Cut and Run (1985). According to the site, the game is described as “the fourth, highly awaited chapter of Deodato’s cannibals cycle.” Cannibal will be available around November 2020 for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC and mobile.
