CW Sinks Fangs into New Pilot for 'The Lost Boys' Series

The CW has once again opened the coffin on a The Lost Boys pilot...

...Via Deadline, the CW has greenlit a new pilot for a The Lost Boys series, which is a retooled version of the pilot that the CW ordered last season. 

Since the CW has already scrapped the pilot before, there's no guarantee this will actually happen, but as of now, the series will come from Heather Mitchell and Rob Thomas, and will be directed by Marcos Siega (The Vampire Diaries). 

At this time, there are no plot details for the new pilot, but the original The Lost Boys (1987) was directed by Joel Schumacher and followed two brothers who move to a coastal town in California and discover it has been overrun by vampires. And it is glorious.
