 Comedy and horror, two genres that are always a blast to watch when blended together... ...Dark Sky Films has announced today that they're acquired North American distribution rights for horror comedy It Cuts Deep from director Nicholas Payne Santos, making his directorial debut! MPI Media Group will be representing worldwide international sales for the film In It Cuts Deep: "While on Christmas vacation, a young couple contemplates their future together. Ashley is interested in marriage and kids, which terrifies Sam. But when the handsome and paternal Nolan enters the picture, Sam's life spirals out of control as Ashley questions their relationship. Chaos reigns as Sam desperately clings to Ashley while fending off the threatening Nolan." The film stars Quinn Jackson ("The Blacklist"), Charles Gould (The Big Sick) and John Anderson (Mozart in the Jungle). It was produced by Kristy Richman. Said Logan Ann Taylor of the Boston Underground Film Festival, "A clever, economical, and effective send-off of the slasher film, 'It Cuts Deep' aims to surprise and hits its mark at every turn." Nicola Goelzhaeuser, MPI's Vice President of Sales and Acquisitions will be introducing It Cuts Deep to buyers at this year's virtual Cannes.
