 A new team-up in horror promises to bring fans plenty of unique genre films... ...In a collaboration with our friends at Bloody Disgusting, Dark Star Pictures has acquired North American rights to Honeydew, which made its world premiere recently at the Nightstream film festival! In Honeydew: "A young couple is forced to seek shelter in the home of an aging farmer and her peculiar son, when they suddenly begin having strange cravings and hallucinations taking them down a rabbit hole of the bizarre." The film features the acting debut of Sawyer Spielberg, son of director Steven Spielberg, and also stars Malin Barr and Barbara Kingsley. Dark Star and Bloody Disgusting are planning a theatrical release for Honeydew in March 2021, followed by a VOD/Digital and DVD release in April. Dark Star and Bloody Disgusting are planning for a quarterly new release under this new brand in a continued effort to place a spotlight on unique horror content.
