 The most adorable cop ever is returning to Scream... ...Via THR, David Arquette will be reprising his role as Dewey Riley in the upcoming Scream 5 from directors Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not)! Said Arquette, “I am thrilled to be playing Dewey again and to reunite with my 'Scream' family, old and new...'Scream' has been such a big part of my life, and for both the fans and myself, I look forward to honoring Wes Craven’s legacy.” We're thrilled too, David! While w're still waiting on plot details, with the news that Neve Campbell is also in talks to return as franchise heroine Sidney, this new Scream, despite being the first film in the series to not be directed by Wes Craven, is sounding more and more like a continuation of the story we love to scream about, and less like a reboot.
