If you haven't seen We Are Still Here yet, you're missing out...

...Recently, director Ted Geoghegan took to Twitter to share concept art created by artist Brett Weldele for Ted's excellent ghost flick, We Are Still Here, and to say the images are fantastic would be an understatement.

For those that have never seen it, in We Are Still Here:
"In the cold, wintery fields of New England, a lonely old house wakes up every thirty years - and demands a sacrifice."
The film is a bloody, scary as hell ghost story dipped in Lovecraftian lore and stars horror icons Barbara Crampton (Re-animator) and Larry Fessenden (Depraved).

The images below depict various moments from the film, such as Paul (Andrew Sensenig) getting creeped out by spectral feet outside the bedroom door, and the original concept for *SPOILER* Dave's (Monte Markham) gruesome death.

Check out the thread below, and go seek out We Are Still Here, which is streaming on Prime.

I just stumbled across the original concept art for WE ARE STILL HERE by artist @BrettWeldele and wanted to share it with you guys. First up, a piece that was created just to set the mood for folks reading the script...

Here's the moment a rather creeped-out Paul sees a pair of spectral feet under his bedroom door, and calls out, hoping it's just his friend Jacob. pic.twitter.com/U8NmCNYFw2

Neighbor Dave McCabe was originally envisioned as a Tom Atkins-type, and the concept art reflected that. He was also originally the leader of a Cthulhu cult (hence the eyes here), but that subplot got cut in a very early draft. pic.twitter.com/dj2K6mQ27o

Here's the first time Annie and Paul see the Dagmar family. We originally envisioned them tumbled to the floor in horror, but by the time we shot it, we knew they should just stare them down, turn, and run the Hell away. pic.twitter.com/Magp7CuLeO

Maddie the bartender was originally conceived as being kind of feral and insane - a far cry from the calm, calculated character she became in later drafts. Here she is getting knifed in the neck by Annie. pic.twitter.com/7wg25uohrR

Originally, at the end of the film, I wanted Dagmar to slide Dave's face off like a sausage casing (mimicking a kill from Peter Jackson's DEAD-ALIVE), but the more we discussed it, we knew it would be too silly. So we crushed his skull instead. No regrets.
