'Don't Breathe 2' Nabs Director!

Take a deep breath, horror fans, because Don't Breathe 2 has found its director!...

...Via THR, Rodo Sayagues, co-writer of the hit 2016 Don't Breathe, has been tapped to direct the sequel! This will be Sayaques feature debut. Stephen Lang will return to reprise his role from Fede Alvarez's film, which saw Lang as a homicidal blind man who is much more capable and way less innocent than he at first seems. 

Plot details are still under wraps, but Don't Breathe 2 is supposedly set several years after the first film, with the Blind Man living in quiet solace…until his past sins catch up to him.

Sayagues wrote the script with Alvarez. Production is due to begin in April. Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert are producing through their Ghost House Pictures banner, along with Good Universe and Alvarez. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisition and its Stage 6 Films division are also backing the production.
