With movie theaters shutting down, studios are continuing to find unique ways to premiere their films... ...Via Deadline, Fangoria will be creating a "virtual premiere" of director Keola Racela's horror-comedy Porno tomorrow, April 10th, after the film's theatrical debut was pulled thanks to Covid-19. From 12:00 AM, screenings will be hosted online where viewers can select a movie theater they want to support, and then purchase online tickets via Vimeo. Tickets are $12 a piece and will last for 48 hours after purchase. The window will run until May 1st before the movie heads onto VOD May 8th. Personally, we think this is an opportunity which viewers should absolutely take advantage of, as Porno is a hilarious horror film, with a jaw-dropping gore moment that had us squirming in our seats (you can read our review here). In Porno: "When five teen employees at the local movie theater in a small Christian town discover a mysterious old film hidden in it's basement, they unleash an alluring succubus who gives them a sex education...written in blood." The film stars Evan Daves, Jillian Mueller, Katelyn Pearce, Bill Phillips, Peter Reznikoff, Larry Saperstein, Glenn Stott and Robbie Tann. Participating theaters for the premiere include Gateway Film Center (Columbus, OH), FilmBar (Phoenix, AZ), The Frida Cinema (Santa Ana, CA), PFS at The Roxy (Philadelphia, PA), Screenland Armour (Kansas City, MO), and 23 Alamo Drafthouse markets.
