Welcome to Nightstream... ...Covid-19 has screwed up a lot of things for us this year, to say the least. And for film fans, it's caused many of our favorite festivals to shut their doors and be postponed until 2021. But we have some exciting news, as it turns out the beloved Overlook Film Festival has banned forces with some of our favorite genre festivals including the Boston Underground Film Festival, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, North Bend Film Festival and the Popcorn Frights Film Festival to bring four days of genre films into your home this October! The virtual festival, entitled Nightstream, will run from October 8th-11th. Proceeds from all pass sales will be shared with all artists showcased, as well as charitable causes and struggling small businesses in each of the festival’s home cities, and with each of the organizations to recoup expenses from canceled physical events, and help sustain them through these turbulent months so that they can all return to public gatherings when it is safe to do so. At this time, the lineup of films has not been announced, but you can purchase Early Bird Passes here! Nightstream promises a full slate of feature and short film programming along with unique live events, panels, conversations, masterclasses, and more, all tailored to each festival's unique flavor!
