Focus Features Sets October Date for Supernatural Tech Horror Flick 'Come Play'!

Tablets and phones can sometimes be a gateway to something awful...literally...

...Via Deadline, Focus Features has set director Jacob Chase's supernatural tech horror film, Come Play, for a release date of October 30th, moving it from a previously scheduled date of July 24th. 

In Come Play, based on Chase's short film, Larry:

Oliver, a lonely young boy, feels different from everyone else.  Desperate for a friend, he seeks solace and refuge in his ever-present cell phone and tablet.  When a mysterious creature uses Oliver’s devices against him to break into our world, Oliver’s parents must fight to save their son from the monster beyond the screen.

The film stars Gillian Jacobs (Community) and John Gallagher Jr. (10 Cloverfield Lane) and newcomer ​Azhy Robertson playing Oliver.
