You are cordially invited to a nightmare... ...The Overlook Film Festival, in partnership with IFC Midnight and Arclight, have announced that they will be hosting a FREE screening of Natalie Erika James' terrifying film Relic on July 8th at the Vineland Drive-in in Los Angeles! In true Overlook fashion, attendees will have their drive-in experience enhanced with a vintage pre-show for early arrivals, along with a downloadable soundtrack of spooky audio stories for the drive to and from the screening courtesy of TALES FROM BEYOND THE PALE and THE PUMPKIN PIE SHOW. Video Q&A to follow with director Natalie Erika James, and stars Emily Mortimer, Bella Heatchote and Robyn Niven, moderated by executive producers the Anthony & Joe Russo. In Relic: "When elderly mother Edna inexplicably vanishes, her daughter Kay and granddaughter Sam rush to their family's decaying country home, finding clues of her increasing dementia scattered around the house in her absence. After Edna returns just as mysteriously as she disappeared, Kay's concern that her mother seems unwilling or unable to say where she's been clashes with Sam's unabashed enthusiasm to have her grandma back. As Edna's behavior turns increasingly volatile, both begin to sense that an insidious presence in the house might be taking control of her." Availability is Limited! RSVP NOW at [email protected]. Relic will also release in drive-ins on July 3rd, with a Digital/VOD release on July 10th from IFC Midnight. Check out more info below for the free screening, as well as the awesome retro poster!
