...Via THR, Warner Bros. Animation has set the cast for its upcoming animated film, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge! As a huge fan of the Mortal Kombat video game franchise, this just sounds like a good time, especially since the classic demon warrior and villain, Scorpion, has always been my personal favorite. 

Directed by Ethan Spaulding (Batman: Assault on Arkham) with a script by Jeremy Adams (Supernatural), the film has cast Joel McHale (Community) as Johnny Cage and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter) as Sonya Blade. 

The voice cast also includes Jordan Rodrigues as Lui Kang, Patrick Seitz as Scorpion and Hanzo Hasashi, Steve Blum as Sub-Zero, Artt Butler as Shang Tsung, Darin De Paul as Quan Chi, Robin Atkin Downes as Kano, David B. Mitchell as Raiden, Ike Amadi as Jax Briggs, Kevin Michael Richardson as Goro, Grey Griffin as Kitana and Satoshi Hasashi and Fred Tatasciore as Demon Torturer.

Rick Morales (Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders) will produce along with Jim Krieg (Batman: Gotham by Gaslight) as co-producer. Sam Register will executive produce.

We still don't have any details on the plot, but Scorpion's Revenge will supposedly release in the first half of 2020. Check out the first look at the logo below.
