I am quite literally roaring right now... ...Via THR, Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2) has found her next directing project, and it's one worth roaring over, as she is set to direct a film called Cocaine Bear, a thriller involving a bear that goes wild after snorting cocaine! I need it in my eyeballs immediately. Via the site, the script was written by Jimmy Warden and is based on events that took place in Kentucky in 1985. "The true story, as reported in 1985 by The New York Times, was that a 175-pound black bear consumed the contents of a duffle bag filled with more than 70 pounds of cocaine that was dropped from an airplane by a local drug smuggler, Andrew Thornton. The bear was later found dead of an apparent drug overdose." As someone who is a major fan of bear-sploitation films, including Grizzly and Prophecy, this is exciting news to say the least. Phil Lord and Chris Miller are set to produce. At this time, we have no other plot details. More details here as we learn them. By Matt Konopka
