We just have a few more weeks until visionary director Oz Perkins (The Blackcoat's Daughter) and writer Rob Hayes bring us their new take on the classic fairytale, Gretel and Hansel, and now we have a look behind the scenes at how Perkins brought this film to life... ...Orion Pictures has released a new featurette on the film, which gives a glimpse into the filmmaking side of things, while also providing some insight from Perkins and various members of the cast. I've said before that Perkins is a witch, slowly fattening me up with imagery from the film, and you know what? It's working, because I'm seriously drooling over this movie at this point. Check out the featurette below! In Gretel and Hansel: "A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil." The film stars Sophia Lillis (It), newcomer Sammy Leakey, Alice Krige (Carnival Row), Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) and Charles Babalola (Black Mirror). The film was produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Upgrade) and Fred Berger (Destroyer) on behalf of Automatik and executive produced by Sandra Yee Ling and Macdara Kelleher. Enter the woods with Gretel and Hansel when the film releases in theaters on January 31st. By Matt Konopka
