Suck a pumpkin, 2020...
...In news that is absolutely devastating but not at all unexpected, Blumhouse has officially pulled Halloween Kills from its October release date, moving the film to October of 2021.
John Carpenter took to Twitter to make the announcement and released an official statement, in which he states:
“If we release it in October of this year as planned, we have to face the reality that the film would be consumed in a compromised theatrical experience. After weighing our options, we have chosen to push the film’s theatrical release by one year.”
On a glass half full side, Carpenter also released a new teaser for the film, which you can check out below, along with his full statement.
