It had to happen sooner or later... ...Via Deadline, horror classic The Changeling, originally directed by Peter Medak and starring George C. Scott, is getting the remake treatment from director Anders Engström and producer Joel B. Michaels (Terminator: Salvation and producer of the original Changeling) for Cornerstone Films. In The Changeling: "A musician, after the death of his young daughter, returns to his childhood home. After a series of terrifying events, he begins to unlock the mystery of the dead child that haunts his home along with a terrible family secret." For those that don't know, The Changeling is responsible for many haunted house movie horror references which we still in cinema today, including the infamous ball bouncing down the stairs. Uwe Schott and Stefan Arndt of X-Filme (Babylon Berlin) are also producing with Cornerstone’s Alison Thompson and Mark Gooder serving as executive producers. Cornerstone Films will be shopping the film at the Cannes virtual market, with plans to shoot in Ireland. By Matt Konopka
