 Few things are better than getting a good scare at the drive-in... ...IFC Films has announced that director Natalie Erika James' Relic will be releasing in drive-ins ahead of its release on VOD! The eerie film will debut in drive-ins only beginning July 3rd! In Relic: "When elderly mother Edna inexplicably vanishes, her daughter Kay and granddaughter Sam rush to their family's decaying country home, finding clues of her increasing dementia scattered around the house in her absence. After Edna returns just as mysteriously as she disappeared, Kay's concern that her mother seems unwilling or unable to say where she's been clashes with Sam's unabashed enthusiasm to have her grandma back. As Edna's behavior turns increasingly volatile, both begin to sense that an insidious presence in the house might be taking control of her." Said Arianna Bocco, EVP of Acquisitions and Productions of IFC Films, “'RELIC' is the kind of horror film that drive-ins traditionally thrive on, and we’re delighted to give even greater visibility to a vibrant and important new voice in the genre.” The film stars Emily Mortimer (MARY POPPINS), Bella Heathcote (THE NEON DEMON) and Robyn Nevin (THE MATRIX).
