It was just back in September that the third film in the popular Hell House franchise released, Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire, but is it possible that a prequel is already in the works?...
...For those that are unfamiliar, the Hell House LLC series (all three from writer/director Stephen Cognetti) began in 2015 with the spooky found-footage flick, Hell House LLC, which revolved around a documentary crew investigating the death of 15 people during the opening of a haunted house known as "Hell House LLC". In the years since the Abaddon's doors opened, Hell House LLC has spawned two more sequels through Terror Films, most recently, Hell House LLC III: Lake of Fire, which released in September this year and was supposed to wrap up the series (read our review here).
But thanks to a coy hint from the Hell House LLC Twitter account, it seems there's a possibility that a prequel may actually be in the works:
Now, this is realistically just the Hell House LLC account's operator having a little fun with the fans, but in numerous replies from people freaking out and asking if this is true, there has been no response from the account denying the idea, leaving the suspicion open that this could, for all we know, be happening.
If that's the case, I'm all for it. The franchise has been consistently enjoyable from beginning to end with Cognetti at the helm, each packed with creative scares and a fun, haunted house atmosphere. Nearly every fan would agree that the most memorable element of the franchise are the sinister clowns which hang out in the basement of the Abaddon Hotel, so it's no surprise that if there is a prequel in the works, that they would be the focus. What do you think, Hell House LLC fiends? Do you want a prequel to the series, or would you prefer the Abaddon stay closed for good?
