This March, get an unflinching look at the making of murderers... ...Indie Rights has released a trailer for a timely horror flick that should make for some awkward family viewing with M.O.M. (Mothers of Monsters)! Written/directed by Tucia Lyman, the film appears to be an unnerving portrayal of what leads to the creation of a murderer, and how a parent might be forced to deal with that. In M.O.M.: "A distraught mother suspects her teenage son is plotting a school shooting, but when he slips through the cracks of the system, she is forced to take matters into her own hands. After installing an elaborate spy camera system in their home, Abbey captures a series of disturbing videos that confirm her worst fears. Torn between a mother's unconditional love and a mother's acute intuition, Abbey caters her videos to all the other "mothers of monsters" online. Abbey's plan backfires when Jacob uses a dark family secret against her, launching both mother and son on a terrifying, and ultimately deadly, game of cat and mouse." The film stars Melinda Page Hamilton (How to Get Away with Murder) and newcomer Bailey Edwards. Catch M.O.M. (Mothers of Monsters) when it premieres in Los Angeles at the Arena Cinelounge on March 13th, 2020, followed by a release on VOD soon after. By Matt Konopka
