A new talent has accepted the call for an exciting upcoming horror film... ...Today, Blumhouse and Universal have announced that actor Jeremy Davies (Saving Private Ryan) has been cast in director Scott Derrickson's The Black Phone! In The Black Phone, adapted by Derrickson and frequent collaborator C. Robert Cargill (Sinister), based on Joe Hill's short story: "John Finney is locked in a basement that's stained with the blood of half a dozen other murdered children. In the cellar with him is an antique telephone, long since disconnected, but which rings at night with calls from the dead." Davies joins Mason Thames (For All Mankind) and Madeleine McGraw (Toy Story 4, Secrets of Sulphur Springs), who are set to also appear in the film. Derrickson, Cargill and Jason Blum, for Blumhouse, are producing the film. Universal and Blumhouse will present the Crooked Highway production. Joe Hill is an executive producer. By Matt Konopka
