J.J. Abrams Executive Producing New Series 'Overlook', Based on Stephen King's 'The Shining'!

Looks like Doctor Sleep has kickstarted more interest in the Overlook Hotel...

...Via Variety, HBO Max and Bad Robot have teamed up to bring viewers a series entitled Overlook, inspired by Stephen King's The Shining, which will be executive produced by J.J. Abrams (Star Trek, Lost)!

​The series will be a one-hour drama described as:

"A horror-thriller series that explores the untold stories of the Overlook Hotel, the most famous haunted hotel in American fiction."

Ben Stephenson and Rachel Rusch Rich will also produce along with Warner Bros. Television. 

Hopefully this inspires viewers to go back and check out Doctor Sleep, which was an excellent film that deserved so much more success at the box office.
