Joe Bob Briggs, international man of smoking hot takes and the popular horror host of Shudder's The Last Drive-In, has offered his sometimes controversial, always thoughtful opinions on the horror genre for decades, and now it seems he is taking those thoughts to a popular outlet which should excite fans...

...That's because earlier today, Joe Bob Briggs (aka, John Bloom), announced through his Twitter that he would be taking his writings to the #1 horror magazine, Fangoria! This is excellent news for fans of the genre, because whether or not you agree with Joe Bob's opinions, the man has an extensive knowledge of the genre, and consistently finds ways to introduce his takes through thoughtful methods that always get either a laugh or an angry outburst, but are never boring.

Here's what Joe Bob said in that tweet:

Starting Thursday I'm moving both my film writing and "Joe Bob's America" back home to Texas to join my buddy Dallas Sonnier's two publications, @FANGORIA and the exciting new @REBELLER, which launches TODAY and, based on early convos, promises to be a wild ride. @CINESTATE pic.twitter.com/cbyTMabfEd

While the tweet doesn't reveal just how much Joe Bob will be writing for the magazine, (will he have a column in every issue, or only appear occasionally?), this is exciting news to see these two titans of terror joining forces to drop some gory knowledge on fans.

If you haven't yet subscribed to Fangoria, there's no better time than now. The quarterly magazine is brimming with in depth discussion on the genre, from many talented writers who I admire, providing about 100 pages of content that you can't get anywhere else. So what are you waiting for? Subscribe here.
