It's almost here. You all don't even know. Joe Hill's Locke & Key graphic novels had a huge influence on both my wife and I and our interest in comics. I've waited and watched through the years as an adaptation series has been picked up and dropped, picked up and dropped, and now, it finally looks like it's happening, with this first teaser getting us one step closer...
...From creators Carlton Cuse (Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), with Andy Muschietti (IT) executive producing, Locke and Key was first published by Joe Hill in 2008 and after a long time spent in development hell, was finally picked up by Netflix not too long ago.
Netflix has dropped a brief teaser for the series adaptation, which you can find below. It isn't much, but it's enough to get anyone excited who has been waiting for this for years like I have.
For those that still haven't read Locke and Key (I highly recommend it), the story concerns:
"Three siblings who move into their ancestral estate after their father's gruesome murder discover their new home's magical keys, which must be used in their stand against an evil creature who wants the keys and their powers."
Locke & Key stars Darby Stanchfield, Laysla De Oliveira, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Hallea Jones, Jackson Robert Scott and Bill Heck.
Unlock Locke & Key when it premieres on Netflix February 7th, 2020.
