Let's never use brain implant technology, yeah?... ...Via Deadline, Neon has acquired U.S. rights to Anti-Viral director Brandon Cronenberg's Possessor, a sci-fi horror flick which, based on premise alone, sounds highly disturbing. Which makes sense, considering Brandon is the son of legendary horror director, David Cronenberg. Disturbing films seem to run in the Cronenberg blood. In Possessor: "A corporate agent Tasya Vos works for a secretive organization that uses brain-implant technology to inhabit other people’s bodies – ultimately driving them to commit assassinations for high-paying clients." The film features a star-studded cast consisting of Andrea Riseborough (Mandy), Christopher Abbott (It Comes at Night) , Tuppence Middleton (Black Mirror), Sean Bean (Game of Thrones) and Jennifer Jason Leigh (Annihilation). Possessor made it's world premiere at this year's Sundance Film Festival. At this time, there is no release date. By Matt Konopka
