Ryan Reynolds is about to embark on an epic journey...

...Via THR, Netflix is adapting the classic 1983 arcade game Dragon's Lair into a live-action feature film, which was a huge hit at the time and even made an appearance in an episode of Stranger Things! The film is being written by Dan and Kevin Hageman, who wrote both The Lego Movie and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, with Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds in talks to play the heroic knight, Dirk the Daring!

In Dragon's Lair:
"A knight named Dirk the Daring must rescue the fetching Princess Daphne from the clutches of the evil dragon known as Singe and the wizard Mordroc."
Roy Lee (IT) is producing through his Vertigo Entertainment banner along with Trevor Engelson of Underground Films. Don Bluth, Gary Goldman and Jon Pomeroy are also producing, with Reynolds producing via his banner, Maximum Effort.
