New Featurette for Shudder's 'The Dead Lands' Explores the Show's Commitment to Maori Cultural Authenticity

...Directed by Peter Meteherangi Tikao Burger and Michael Hurst and written by Glenn Standring, The Dead Lands is a groundbreaking show, in that it's the first of its kind with complete authenticity towards the Maori people and their culture. Shudder has released a new featurette which you can find below that explores the show's commitment to remaining authentic, and all the different ways in which it accomplishes that. 

In The Dead Lands: 

"A murdered Māori warrior, Waka Nuku Rau (Te Kohe Tuhaka), is sent back to the world of the living to redeem his sins. But the world Waka returns to is ravaged by a breach between Life and the Afterlife as the spirits of the newly dead now stalk the land and hunt the living."

The Dead Lands stars Te Kohe Tuhaka (Monster Problems), Darneen Christian, Kirk Torrance (Outrageous Fortune) and Vicky Haughton (King Kong).
