Witches are all the rage right now. Orion Pictures Gretel and Hansel is the latest coming our way, and now we have a new trailer that proclaims the film is a whole new vision of the fairytale it's based on... ...Directed by Osgood Perkins (The Blackcoat's Daughter) and written by Rob Hayes (Chewing Gum), Gretel and Hansel is a new take on the classic Grimm's Fairytale, "Hansel and Gretel". We've already seen some pretty intriguing footage from the film that expresses a unique visionary style unlike anything we've experienced with this story before, and now Orion has dropped a new trailer which hints at a dark secret, which you can find below. As someone who absolutely loved The Blackcoat's Daughter (really, you should see it), I'm personally loving the look of the film, and I'm confident Perkins is going to deliver something truly special. In Gretel and Hansel: "A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil." The film stars Sophia Lillis (It), newcomer Sammy Leakey, Alice Krige (Carnival Row), Jessica De Gouw (Arrow) and Charles Babalola (Black Mirror). The film was produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones (Sinister, Upgrade) and Fred Berger (Destroyer) on behalf of Automatik and executive produced by Sandra Yee Ling and Macdara Kelleher. Enter the woods with Gretel and Hansel when the film releases in theaters on January 31st. By Matt Konopka
