Viewer beware, if you dare... ...Via Deadline, Scholastic Entertainment is partnering with Sony Pictures TV and producer Neal H. Moritz (Goosebumps, Goosebumps 2), to develop a new live-action Goosebumps series, based on the series of books from R.L. Stine! Said Moritz to the site, “I loved making the 'Goosebumps' movies and can’t wait to bring even more of R. L. Stine’s incredible stories to life through a high-end television series that speaks to both adults and kids alike." R.L. Stine's first Goosebumps book hit the scene in 1992 with Welcome to Dead House, and over 200 books have been included in the series of horror stories since, eventually spawning a 90s kids horror anthology show, and two films starring Jack Black as the author. An entire generation (including myself) grew up with Goosebumps, and so it's exciting to think a new generation will get to experience the ever-growing franchise through a new TV show. Needless to say, there's plenty of material to pull from for a new show. The Goosebumps series will be executive produced by Lucchese, along with Caitlin Friedman, Scholastic’s SVP & General Manager, Moritz and Originals Head of Television Pavun Shetty. By Matt Konopka
