 What's your favorite scary movie?... ...It's one of the most quotable lines in horror history thanks to Wes Craven's Scream, a franchise near and dear to many a horror fan's heart, which is why so many of us are excited for a new Scream. Via Variety, Spyglass Media Group and Paramount Pictures have formed a partnership to produce the upcoming Scream relaunch from Ready or Not directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett! While we still don't have any plot details on the upcoming Scream, we do know it isn't technically a reboot, with David Arquette set to reprise his role as the lovable Deputy Dewey. James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick are co-writing the film. Project X Entertainment’s Vanderbilt, Paul Neinstein and William Sherak are producing, with franchise creator Kevin Williamson and Chad Villella executive producing. Currently, the film is targeting a 2021 release, with production set to begin later this summer. By Matt Konopka
