![]() Has The Crow been brought back to life?... ...Our friends at Bloody Disgusting are reporting that a reboot for The Crow is back in development! According to Bloody, Samuel Hadida’s Davis Films, Highland Film Group and Electric Shadow, who had all previously acquired the rights to finance, produce and distribute a reboot, are all still involved in bringing The Crow back to screens and are working on finding a new writer and director, meaning the film is back in development. In the original The Crow (1994): "A man brutally murdered comes back to life as an undead avenger of his and his fiancée's murder." As Bloody points out, The Crow franchise has been through a lot, from the accidental death of star Brandon Lee on set, to director Corin Hardy and actor Jason Momoa pulling out of the previously announced reboot originally slated for October 11th, 2019 from Sony Pictures. Details are still pretty vague at this point, but for fans of the franchise, any news is good news. As I've said a few times already this year, 2020 appears to be the year of superhero horror films, so if there was ever a time for The Crow to rise from the ashes, this is it. More details here as we learn them. By Matt Konopka
