One of the most unique zombie films in a while is coming to blu-ray... ...Train to Busan is often referred to as the "best" most recent zombie film, but writer/director Jeff Barnaby's Blood Quantum (now on Shudder) certainly deserves the title of one of the most original, and poignant, and we've now learned that RLJE Films and Shudder will be releasing this excellent film on VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray this September! For those that missed it, in Blood Quantum: "The indigenous people in the isolated reserve of Red Crow are immune to the zombie plague that has taken over the nation, but that doesn’t mean their lives aren’t at risk. It’s up to Traylor, the tribal sheriff, to protect the families residing on the reserve and a flood of desperate refugees from the hordes of bloodthirsty, walking white corpses that are closing in." The film stars Michael Greyeyes (“Fear the Walking Dead”, "True Detective") Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Kiowa Gordon (Twilight franchise), and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers (The Body Remembers When the World Broke Open). Blood Quantum will release on VOD, Digital HD, DVD and Blu-ray September 1st via RLJE Films/Shudder. You can now pre-order the film here. At this time, we are unaware of any special features.
