With Covid-19 changing the way we see movies, it now appears that Facebook Live could be a new, interesting way to premiere feature films... ...KHC has learned that directors Arielle Cimino and Jeff Ryan's horror comedy, Mass Hysteria, will be having a virtual premiere through Facebook Live TOMORROW, 04/01, at 8pm EDT, hosted by the Salem Horror Fest! Centered around a reenactment of the Salem Witch Trials gone very, very wrong, the film is a fun flick that our Amylou Ahava enjoyed quite a bit (you can read her review out of Salem Horror Fest here). In Mass Hysteria: "A group of Salem witch trial reenactors find themselves at the center of a modern day witch hunt." Personally, I love this move, because with the pandemic, filmmakers are going to need to get creative with how they show their films, and with social media watch parties becoming more and more of a thing, I can't imagine a better way to world-premiere the film right now than through social media itself.
