We already know that director Scott Derrickson is busy working on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness for Marvel, which has been deemed a "Marvel horror film", but what we didn't know is that it seems Derrickson's next project may be a hard R horror film with a familiar partner...
...Last night through Twitter, Derrickson, who many of you know as the director of the Sinister franchise, announced that he plans for his next project to be an R-rated horror film with writing partner C. Robert Cargill, who wrote the Sinister films with Derrickson! And if that wasn't enough, shortly after, Cargill revealed that the film will be an adaptation of an unknown story by the extremely talented author, Joe Hill (Locke and Key, NOS4A2)!
While we don't have any further details, this is still very exciting, as Derrickson and Cargill have proven to be a writing team that knows how to conjure up great scares. Sinister scared the ever-loving hell out of myself and numerous fans alike, and the sequel wasn't half bad either. The fact that this film will be based on a work from master storyteller Joe Hill is just extra, salivatory-worthy icing on the cake. Check out the exchange below, and keep an eye out here for more details as they come in!
