Severin Films Unleashing 1975's 'The Astrologer' On Blu-ray in February!

God bless the people at Severin Films, who continue to bring genre fans the weird, obscure, and sleazy, with the next on the long list of films in their library being The Astrologer, coming in February...

...Severin Films have announced that they will bringing a 4K Scan of The Astrologer (1975) to Blu-ray on February 25th, 2020! From the executive producer behind flicks like Maniac Cop, Frankenhooker, and Basket Case 2 & 3, writer/director James Glickenhaus made his feature debut with The Astrologer. Also known as Suicide Cult, the film is based on a novel by John Cameron, and while I've never personally seen it, the brief trailer below certainly looks wild. 

In The Astrologer:

"A scientist investigating reports of the Second Coming of Christ finds himself battling against a suicidal devil cult."

The Astrologer stars Playboy centerfold Monica Tidwell (Nocturna), and promises all of the grindhouse sleaze we've come to associate with Severin. Check out the special features and trailer for the film below, which you can pre-order here.
