Whether or not you've seen Shudder's new zombie horror flick, Blood Quantum, you won't want to miss it this Tuesday...
...That's because on this coming Tuesday, Shudder is hosting a tweet-along of director Jeff Barnaby's Blood Quantum, with Barnaby and star Michael Greyeyes joining in!
In Blood Quantum:
"The dead are coming back to life outside the isolated Mi’gmaq reserve of Red Crow, except for its Indigenous inhabitants who are immune to the zombie plague. Traylor, the tribal sheriff, must protect his son’s pregnant girlfriend, apocalyptic refugees, and reserve riffraff from the hordes of walking white corpses."
Blood Quantum joins an ever-growing list of films/series which have come to Shudder that approach horror through the eyes of different cultures, and it's something we've loved to see, because the horror genre is for EVERYONE, and there are so many stories to tell from other perspectives that we're finally getting more of as the genre continues to expand in its representation.
What's more, Blood Quantum is just a downright excellent zombie film, full of heart and gore and at times feeling as if it carries the weight of Romero's Living Dead franchise blended with the ferocity of Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead remake.
The film kicks off on ShudderTV on Tuesday, May 5th at 9pm ET/6pm PT. Join in using #BloodQuantumMovie or #BQLive and follow Shudder, Barnaby and Greyeyes on Twitter.
Tuesday, the blood won't just rain, it will pour!
