Sultan of Splatter Tom Savini to Guest on the Next Episode of Shudder's 'The Last Drive-In'!

...Shudder premiered season 2 of The Last Drive-In last week, featuring hosts Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl conducting a night of excellence that included Kelli Maroney (Chopping Mall) and wrestling superstar Chris Jericho, and today the streaming service has announced that none other than the Godfather of Gore himself, Tom Savini (Dawn of the Dead, Friday the 13th) will guest star on the next episode this Friday, May 1st!

Recently, Joe Bob Briggs dropped the following hint for what the films in this week's double feature will be, saying, "The first movie is an 80s classic that 'JOKER' stole from. The second movie is an 80s classic that every high school movie stole from."

While we can't say for sure, the guest appearance of Savini all but guarantees that one of those movies must be Maniac, which he did the makeup effects for and which Joker absolutely stole from. 

Either way, this is supremely exciting news, and season 2 of The Last Drive-In is already on track to be even bigger and better than the last one. Hears to breaking the internet again, and again, and again!
