Covid-19 sure is making all of the sweets sour... ...Via Deadline, Universal/MGM's Candyman reboot has been moved from its originally scheduled release date of June 12th to September 25th, 2020. The move comes as no surprise honestly, as most films have been pushed out of their summer release dates thanks to the pandemic. Directed by Nia DaCosta's and produced by Jordan Peele (Get Out), the reboot stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Aquaman) and based on the trailer released earlier in the year, it's going to be one excellent, bloody take on the icon. In Candyman: "Candyman returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began." The film also stars Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits) and Colman Domingo (Euphoria). Here's that incredible trailer again for those who want to watch it on repeat until we finally get the film. By Matt Konopka
