The New Beverly Cinema returns with a slate of fan favorite holiday horror films this December!11/20/2018 If there's one benefit to living in Los Angeles, it's the abundance of theaters which play classic genre films all year long. One of those, the Quentin Tarantino owned New Beverly, has unfortunately been closed for some time. But with December approaching, it looks like that will soon be changing... ...Established in 1978 by Sherman Torgan, the New Beverly Theater became a movie haven for film lovers. For thirty years, Torgan and his team presented fans with double features, marathons, and Q&A's that have delighted fans of all types of genres. In 2007, Torgan sadly passed away. Sometime later, legendary filmmaker Quentin Tarantino took over, after spending 10 years as a benefactor of the theater. Having been closed since January 2018 for renovations, the theater is finally reopening in December, and there is a lot for horror fans to be giddy over. Check out the horrific schedule below, and head to the theater's official site for the full slate.
